For those of you who have found your way to this page via our recent mention in Time Out New York – welcome! The next dance party event will be taking place on Thursday, January 5th at 7:00 p.m.
You may have noticed that the pricing you see on the left side of the screen is different from that in Time Out. It was only after we replied to the lovely magazine’s diligent fact-checking email that we decided to lower the price. The cost is now $5.00 with RSVP and $7.00 without.
The best way to find out about upcoming events is to give us a shout at dancedancepartyparty@gmail.com and join our mailing list.
Dance Dance Party Party is a lot of fun and a great workout in a judgment-free environment. It was even too awesome to be contained by the Big Apple and there are now chapters all over the world. So explore the blog, check out our Facebook page and come shake it with us on January 5th!

Hilary Cole clawed her way out of a small Missouri town and to The Big Apple by working such jobs as "Aviation History Museum Tour Guide" and "Shooting and Reloading Equipment Sales Assistant." She's spent the last few years in New York slogging through film school and working in private investigation (think Jake Gittes with considerably less charisma and glued to a computer). Coordination and grace are foreign concepts for Hilary, but that doesn't keep her from bustin' a move every chance she gets!
Dana and Dance Dance go way back. Lady Gaga had not even met her first disco stick when Dana met DDPP, and it's been a wild romcom affair ever since. When not obsessing over a playlist, Dana is often developing websites, reading short stories, nurturing her deep appreciation of flavored lip gloss, and wondering what Jon Stewart would do. He would probably take a dance break and have some dark chocolate, right? Right.
Kimberly, along with Dana, became a DDPP organizer in April 2009 but her dance roots go all the way back to the days before the New Kids tried that whole NKOTB thing. She is studying filmmaking, and if you see her out sometime you should buy her a drink and ask her about the time George Lucas broke her sister's chair. You should also say, "Hey! We're in Florida!" because she is currently located there and if you run into her that is where you will likely be. She is still, however, in a New York state of mind, even while she gets DDPP Orlando off the ground.
